Privacy Policy — HandyDude

Effective Date: October 29, 2026 · Publisher: OC HandyDude LLC · Canonical URL: dev.ochandydude.dev/privacy.html

1. Who we are

OC HandyDude LLC ("we," "our," or "us") publishes mobile applications under the developer name HandyDude on Google Play, and operates the websites ochandydude.dev and dev.ochandydude.dev. You can reach us at [email protected].

This single document is the privacy policy for all of our Android apps and for our websites. The design philosophy across our products is offline-first privacy: the core features of every app run locally on your device, and nothing is sent to us unless a feature explicitly says otherwise.

Note: previously published per-app policies (privacy.html, oig-privacy.html, cubrix-privacy.html, localclaw-privacy.html, offlineai-privacy.html, privacy-morselink.html, fishing-privacy.html, secret/privacy.html, stella/privacy.html) are merged into this document; the per-app annexes below preserve their substance.

2. Principles that apply to everything

3. Shared disclosures

The disclosures in this section apply to every app that uses the corresponding feature; each app annex in Section 4 states which of these features it actually includes.

3.1 Advertising — Google AdMob

The free tier of several of our apps displays ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). Depending on the app, these may be banner, interstitial, or rewarded-video ads; the per-app annex says which placements exist. To provide, measure, and prevent fraud in advertising, Google may process:

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, our apps request consent via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized ads are shown. You may choose non-personalized ads or change your decision at any time through the consent options in the app, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android system settings (Settings > Google > Ads). Paid tiers remove ads entirely — the specifics (PRO/Premium/Premium upgrade) are described in each app annex.

How Google uses data from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. AdMob data usage: https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543.

3.2 In-app purchases — Google Play Billing

Optional purchases and subscriptions (PRO, Premium, Lifetime unlocks, in-game items) are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see, receive, or store your payment card details — our apps only store a local or encrypted on-device flag (or a purchase token) indicating that the purchase is active, and purchase verification and restore are performed with Google Play through your Google account. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled and are managed in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions; deleting an app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its policies.

3.3 app-ads.txt

We publish an app-ads.txt file at the root of our website (ochandydude.dev/app-ads.txt) declaring the advertising systems authorized to sell ad inventory in our apps — currently google.com, pub-4519092209147254, DIRECT (Google AdMob). This file contains no personal data; it exists so ad networks can verify that inventory claiming to be ours is genuine.

3.4 AI model downloads — Hugging Face

Our AI-powered apps download model weights over HTTPS from Hugging Face (huggingface.co) when you choose to fetch a model; Hugging Face sees your IP address and the requested files under its own privacy policy. The list of available models is served as a static JSON catalog from dev.ochandydude.dev; catalog requests fetch file bytes only and carry no personal data. Once a model is downloaded, all AI inference in these apps runs entirely on your device and requires no internet connection.

4. Per-app disclosures

Each annex below lists the permissions the app uses and why, what data touches which feature, and which shared services (Section 3) are present. If a capability is not listed for an app, that app does not have it.

4.1 Local AI

Package: com.ochandydude.localai — on-device LLM/VLM chat client.

Permissions:

Internet usage: the app uses a connection only for (a) downloading AI models from Hugging Face and the model catalog from dev.ochandydude.dev; (b) advertising; (c) in-app purchases and subscriptions; and (d) optional content reports you explicitly send. AI inference itself requires no internet connection once a model is downloaded.

Acceptable use and content reporting. The app may not be used to generate restricted content, including sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, instructions for weapons or explosives, self-harm instructions, extremist or terrorist material, and malware. The app applies automated safeguards to refuse such requests before generation and to withhold matching responses. If an AI answer appears problematic, you may report it using the flag icon shown on that answer. A report transmits only: the single answer you chose to report, the report category you selected, an optional comment you typed (up to 500 characters), the model name, and the app version. Nothing else leaves your device — no chat history, no other messages, no images, no audio, and no device or account identifiers. Reports are sent over HTTPS to dev.ochandydude.dev and used solely to improve content safety. If the device is offline, the report is queued locally and sent later; choosing Cancel keeps everything on the device.

Ads and billing: the free version may display AdMob ads (Section 3.1); Premium/Pro users see no ads at all. Optional Premium purchases and subscriptions use Google Play Billing (Section 3.2).

4.2 LocalClaw — Offline AI Agent

Package: com.ochandydude.localclaw — on-device AI agent that works with your files.

Ads and billing: the free tier displays a banner ad on the model manager screen and offers an optional rewarded ad (Section 3.1). Premium users see no ads at all — neither Lifetime purchasers nor users with an active rewarded unlock. The optional Lifetime upgrade uses Google Play Billing; the app stores only an encrypted on-device flag, and purchase restore works through your Google account via Play (Section 3.2).

Audience: the app is intended for users aged 18 and older.

4.3 Secret AI: Offline Solver

Package: com.ochandydude.secretai — on-device AI chat in a disguised, PIN-protected shell.

Permissions:

Deletion: "Clear all chats" in Settings erases the local database immediately; uninstalling removes all data.

Ads and billing: the free tier shows AdMob ads (Section 3.1) — never inside chats or on the cover screen — and you can remove all ads by upgrading to Pro or by declining consent where offered. Pro purchases use Google Play Billing (Section 3.2); we only receive a purchase token confirming entitlement.

4.4 Offline AI Expert

Package: com.ochandydude.offlineaiexpert — on-device document Q&A / knowledge base.

Ads and billing: the free tier shows a small AdMob banner in Settings and offers an optional rewarded ad that unlocks PRO features for 24 hours (Section 3.1); buying PRO removes all ads permanently via Google Play Billing (Section 3.2).

4.5 Stella: Bedtime Stories

Package: com.ochandydude.stella — on-device AI bedtime stories with text-to-speech narration, made for families.

Children: the app is designed to be safe for family use — all content is generated and stored on-device, we collect no personal information from anyone (including children), ads can be fully removed via the Pro upgrade, and a parental gate protects purchase and settings areas.

Ads and billing: the free version may display AdMob ads (Section 3.1); Pro users see no ads at all. Optional Pro purchases and subscriptions use Google Play Billing (Section 3.2).

4.6 HookTime (Fishing Forecast)

Package: com.ochandydude.hooktime — on-device fishing forecast with maps. Server-free by design: we operate no backend for this app, there are no user accounts, and all forecast computation happens on your device.

Location data. The app requests your location once during onboarding (and optionally later) for a single purpose: to find the nearest fishable water (sea shore or lake) and to pick the correct forecast point and time zone. Your coordinates are:

Third-party data providers. To compute forecasts and render maps, the app contacts the following free public services directly from your device: MET Norway (api.met.no) for weather forecasts; NOAA (nomads.ncep.noaa.gov, api.tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov) for wave model data and US tide predictions; OpenStreetMap tile servers (tile.openstreetmap.org) for base map tiles; Esri ArcGIS Online (server.arcgisonline.com) for ocean depth (bathymetry) basemap; and the Overpass API (overpass-api.de) for protected-area boundaries. Those requests necessarily include the coordinates of your forecast point and are made from your IP address; each provider may log requests under its own privacy policy. No personal identifiers are included, and we have no access to these requests.

Notifications (optional, Android 13+): the app can alert you when a high-efficiency fishing day is coming. Alert computation runs on your device; no data leaves it for this feature.

Ads and billing: the free version can display AdMob interstitial ads when you voluntarily unlock additional forecast days or map layers (Section 3.1); Premium users see no ads at all. Premium — subscriptions (monthly or yearly) or a one-time lifetime unlock — uses Google Play Billing (Section 3.2).

Terms of Use for this app (informational-use and no-warranty terms, subscription details, third-party content attribution) are published separately at dev.ochandydude.dev/fishing-terms.html.

4.8 Cubrix: Block Puzzle Game

Package: com.ochandydude.cubrix — block puzzle game with an on-device AI companion.

Data stored locally on your device (via Android DataStore, never transmitted to our servers): game progress, high scores, and statistics (games played, lines cleared); unlocked in-game themes and inventory items (gems, power-up boosters); in-game preferences (sound effects, haptic vibration, daily notification toggles).

Third-party services used by this app:

On-device AI companion: Cubrix includes an optional on-device AI companion (a trainable neural pet, player-vs-AI duels, and a decision log). The AI model is trained locally on your gameplay patterns on your own device. All AI training data, learned model weights, and related game statistics remain exclusively on your device and are never transmitted to our servers or to any third party. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling permanently removes the companion's learned data.

Local notifications: if enabled in settings, the app schedules local notifications to remind you of daily puzzle challenges, handled locally by Android WorkManager/AlarmManager without external telemetry or tracking.

4.9 OIG — Offline Image Generator

On-device image generation.

Ads and billing: the free tier is supported by AdMob ads (Section 3.1); upgrading to PRO removes all ads. PRO upgrades (subscriptions and one-time purchases) use Google Play Billing (Section 3.2).

5. Our websites

ochandydude.dev is a static showcase site for our apps. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or trackers of ours, and collects nothing from visitors. It is served through Cloudflare, which acts as CDN/proxy and may process technical request data (IP address, headers) under Cloudflare's privacy policy. The site also serves app-ads.txt for ad-inventory verification (Section 3.3) and a contact link to [email protected].

dev.ochandydude.dev hosts machine-facing endpoints used by the apps: static JSON model catalogs (model lists and content-policy rules) and the content-report ingestion endpoint described in the Local AI and OIG annexes. Catalog requests carry no personal data; report requests carry only the report contents disclosed above. Standard web-server access logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp) are kept for operational and abuse-prevention purposes and are not shared with or sold to anyone.

6. Data storage and deletion

All user content — chats, stories, documents, generated images, game progress, settings, downloaded models — is stored exclusively in each app's private on-device storage (or, for LocalClaw, a workspace folder you choose). Uninstalling an app, or clearing its data in Android settings, permanently deletes all of it. Per-app deletion shortcuts are described in the annexes (e.g., "Clear Knowledge Base" in Offline AI Expert, "Clear all chats" in Secret AI).

The only data we hold on our own server is the content reports that users explicitly submit from Local AI and OIG — limited to the single reported answer or flagged image, the selected category, an optional comment, the model name, and the app version — used solely to improve content safety. To request deletion of a report you submitted, contact us at the address in Section 10.

Because your content never leaves your device and we operate no user accounts, requests to access, correct, or delete your data are fulfilled directly by you on the device. For data processed by Google or the third-party providers listed in this policy, please refer to their respective privacy controls.

7. Third-party sharing

We do not sell or rent any data to anyone, and we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. The only third parties that may process limited technical data are:

8. Children's privacy

Unless an app annex says otherwise, our apps are not directed at children under 13 and do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. LocalClaw is intended for users aged 18 and older. Stella: Bedtime Stories is designed for family use — it collects no personal information from anyone, generates and stores all content on-device, and protects purchase and settings areas with a parental gate. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate measures.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the effective date above reflects the latest revision, and material changes will be noted on this page. The current version is always available at dev.ochandydude.dev/privacy.html.
